Sandbäckens acquires Rörsvets Åke Josefsson AB in Linköping

Sandbäckens Group acquires Rörsvets Åke Josefsson AB and the business will be merged into Sandbäckens Rör i Linköping AB. The acquisition is in line with Sandbäckens 5-50-500 growth strategy: 5 billion in turnover, 50 new companies and 500 million in profit. Sandbäckens plans to grow strongly in the segment VS and energy efficiency solutions.

The company is active in the pipe industry with an emphasis on district heating and district cooling systems. The customers are energy companies.

Åke Josefsson started the family business in 1972 and in 2003 Lars-Åke Josefsson took over the business. The company currently has 10 employees based in Linköping.

Through the acquisition, Sandbäckens Rör in Linköping is expanded with specialist knowledge in welding, facility knowledge and routines on how district heating projects are run efficiently.

- Through the merger, Sandbäckens Rör in Linköping will become a more complete pipe supplier, says Jari Grönberg, CEO of Sandbäckens Rör in Linköping.

The acquisition of Rörsvets Åke Josefsson AB is expected to be completed in April 2024.
